Twentynineinches.com’s Guitar Ted summed up the 2008 Overdrive Pro by stating that, “The Overdrive Pro gets my thumbs up as a worthy hardtail 29? trail rig.” About the bike’s components, he reported that “All throughout the test period, the Overdrive Pro’s components shined. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of abuse and adverse conditions they could handle.” Few bikes even come close to being comparable to the original 29er. Upgrades from the Overdrive include a Rock Shox Reba SL dual air fork, Truvativ 5D crank set with a sealed cartridge bearing Power Spline bottom bracket, a nicer rear derailleur, and Avid BB5 mechanical disc brakesPrice:
The Thruster 29er 29-in men's mountain bike features large wheels for a greater surface area over any terrain for improved action. It's constructed around a lightweight 6061 aluminum frame, with SRAM X-4 shifters and derailleurs for lightning-fast and accurate shifting through all 24 speeds.
Don?t think you have to spend big to roll big. The Overdrive boasts the same super snappy and responsive aluminum frame that is found on the Overdrive Pro and comes well-equipped with smooth-operating components from Rock Shox, Hayes, SRAM, Avenir, and WTB. Ride an original, the Overdrive ? the bike that started this revolution 17 years ago.
